Receipt of the Application
Initially on receipt of your application, the Program Coordinator will screen your application to verify its completeness.
You will receive an acknowledgement of the receipt of your application, typically by postal or electronic mail.
It is important that you ensure that your contact details, provided in your application form, are correct and that you continue to update the Law School of any changes.
If further documentation or information is required you will be notified.
Our Law School at UJM typically receives reviews in excess of 1,000 applications for admission to Graduate programs each year, processing many thousands more letters of recommendation, transcripts, etc and receiving several thousand more enquiries.
Due to this volume of documentation to be processed, the Law School is not able to respond to electronic, phone or written enquiries about application receipt and status.
The Law School and its members of staff are grateful to you for your understanding and patience.
We suggest you print a copy of your application and keep copies of all documents you submit with your application. We cannot return or give you copies of any part of your application, transcripts, translations, letters of recommendation, or supporting material.
Decision process
Your application will be reviewed by the Dean of the Law School, the Academic Director of the LL.M. Program and a member of the teaching staff on the LL.M and/or Diploma program or a representative designated by one or more of the same.
Decision on Admission
Application files will be examined on a rolling basis, accordingly you are encouraged to submit your application as early as possible.
1. Applicants who supply all materials necessary to complete their application files
The Law School strives to make its decision within 2 to 4 weeks after receipt of the completed application.
Applicants selected as candidates for the Diploma or LL.M. program will usually be sent an unconditional letter of enrollment.
2. Applicants enrolled in university degrees awaiting their final grades or degree classification
Applicants currently enrolled in university degrees that use a final examination result or a final degree classification as a measure of academic performance, will usually receive a letter of enrollment from the Law School, listing certain conditions of enrollment.
These applicants’ enrollment in the program will not be effected until the condition or conditions set out in the enrollment letter, is or are satisfied.
If and once the condition or conditions stipulated in the said letter of enrollment is or are satisfied, the applicant in question will usually receive an unconditional letter of enrollment from the Law School.
These applicants will receive decisions as they are made following completion of their file.
Decisions regarding admission into the Law School’s Graduate Programs will generally be communicated to applicants, who supply all materials necessary to complete their files by the application deadline.
General provisions
Applications will not usually be reviewed until all required information and supporting documentation are received and the application fee has cleared.
No guarantees can be made concerning applications received after the deadline; such applications may be returned unprocessed.
The Law School reserves the right to cancel a program or course proposed.
Jurisdiction and Law
Submission of an application constitutes acceptance that the sole and exclusive remedy of resolving any disputes regarding the admissions process and the program shall be in a tribunal or court having jurisdiction in France, applying French law to the dispute in question.
